Dear Dad, You made me laugh, you made me cry the day I said goodbye to you. It broke my heart in two. I have many lovely memories of times spent together. I can still see and hear you by watching videos I took of you. Now at peace with Mum and Sharyn. Your loving daughter Carol. Love you lots xxxxxxx

My dearest Gramps, the light of my life. 💙 There are no words to describe this pain but I know you’re resting easy now with Nanny Dot and Auntie Sharyn. ❤️ You know how loved you were and I know too how loved I was by you, you told me often enough, just as I told you. We made sure of that! I’m often compared to you - your “soppy side” and that makes me proud as it shows that we are who we are and we wear our hearts on our sleeves. I have so many treasured memories: You teaching me how to draw, how to swim, how to write in calligraphy, how to haggle, how to cheat at games, how to peel potatoes and how to butter bread properly! Not to forget, teaching me how to dance to Wig Wam Bam, winning fancy dress at Pontins, apple bobbing and how to steal the microphone off everyone at Christmas to sing My Way perfectly! Most of all Gramps, you showed me how to love fully and how to always be myself no matter what others think. Without question, I know how you felt about me and how loved I was by you and I will treasure and hold on to that until I meet you again when you can tell me and show me yourself. Gramps you were faultless and quite simply - perfect. Always and forever, your Sugar. xxxxxxx
